PATRICK M. MURRAY is Chief Executive Officer, a Director and a member of
the Executive Committee of Dresser, Inc. Mr. Murray previously served as
President of Dresser Equipment Group, Inc.; Vice President, Strategic
Initiatives of Dresser Industries, Inc.; and Vice President, Operations
of Dresser, Inc. Mr. Murray has also served as the President of Sperry-
Sun Drilling Services and as the Controller of NL Industries. Mr. Murray
joined NL Industries in 1973 as a Systems Application Consultant and
served in a variety of increasingly senior management positions with NL
Industries, Baroid Corporation and Dresser Industries. Mr. Murray is
currently on the Boards of the Valve Manufacturers Association,
Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association, Harvest Natural Resources,
Inc., Precision Drilling Corporation, and the Dallas Council on World
Affairs. He is also on the Board of Advisors for the Maguire Energy
Institute, Edwin L. Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist
