Nancy M. Briefs is President and Founding CEO of Percardia, Inc.,
which was incubated at Itasca Ventures in Minneapolis and founded
in March 1998 and established headquarters in New Hampshire for
this Delaware Corp. Since establishing the company she has raised
over $32 million in equity financing to support device
development and feasibility testing. Ms. Briefs recruited a
world-class Scientific Advisory Board, expanded the intellectual
property portfolio and hired the senior management team. Her
background includes 20 plus years in the medical device industry
building shareholder value by raising both venture and public
financing, developing and commercializing innovative paradigm
shifting technologies at companies such as: Vista Medical
Technologies, Stryker Corp. and Target Therapeutics. She earned a
Master of Business Administration degree from Golden Gate
University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Emporia State
