Mike Gast – Kampgrounds Of America Inc

MIKE GAST, Director of Communications for Kampgrounds of America, Inc., joined the company in May 2001 after more than 22 years in the newspaper industry. He started his journalism career at the Knight-Ridder owned Aberdeen American News in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He came to Billings, Montana, in 1987 and served as night city editor, city editor and managing editor of the Billings Gazette before moving to Corvallis, Oregon, to be the editor-in- chief of the Corvallis Gazette-Times in 1996. He returned to Billings in 1998 to head the Circulation Department at the Billings Gazette. He created and headed the Gazette's Marketing Department in 1999 until leaving the paper in 2001. His duties at Kampgrounds of America as Communications Director include guiding and editing KOA publications, public relations, event planning and KOA's new Internet Service Provider, KOA Konnect.
