Microchip Technology, Inc. – Ganesh Moorthy (mchp)

GANESH MOORTHY is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Microchip Technology Incorporated. Mr. Moorthy has 19 years of experience with Intel, where he held engineering and management positions, including that of General Manager of the 8/16/32 Microcontroller Division. He left Intel in August 2000 to become the CEO of Cybercilium, a small Tempe, Ariz.-based software startup company. He joined Microchip as Vice President on November 26, 2001. Originally from India, Mr. Moorthy came to the US as a student in 1979 and became a US citizen in 1994. He has undergraduate degrees in physics and electrical engineering, and an MBA in marketing.
