MICHAEL D. WEBB joined EPIX Pharmaceuticals, Inc., as President and CEO
in December 1994 from Ciba-Corning Diagnostics, a medical instrument
company, where he was most recently Senior Vice President, Worldwide
Marketing and Strategic Planning. During his five-year tenure at Ciba,
Mr. Webb's achievements included the highly successful development and
commercialization of the ACS:180TM immunodiagnostic system and the 800
Series blood gas analyzers. From 1984 to 1989, Mr. Webb was a Senior
Consultant at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Inc., a consulting company,
specializing in health care and life sciences. Mr. Webb holds an MM
degree in Marketing and Finance from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of
