MICHAEL T. DAN is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of The
Pittston Company, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. Pittston is a
diversified company with interests in global freight transportation and
logistics management services through BAX Global Inc., security services
through Brink's Incorporated and Brink's Home Security, Inc., and in
mining and minerals exploration through Pittston Minerals Group.
Previously, Mr. Dan was President and Chief Executive Officer of
Pittston's subsidiary, Brink's Holding Company, with responsibility for
all of Pittston's security businesses. Mr. Dan joined Brink's in 1982 as
Director-Automotive Design and later served as Regional Vice President
