Michael Shanahan Sr. – Engineered Support Systems Inc (easi)

MICHAEL F. SHANAHAN SR. has served as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Engineered Support Systems, Inc., since 1982. ESSI is a leading and diversified provider of high'tech, integrated military electronics, support equipment and logistic services. Prior to founding Engineered Support Systems, Inc, Mr. Shanahan was Vice President at Cleveland Pneumatic Company in St. Louis from 1979 until 1982. From 1973-1979, he served as Marketing Vice President and then as President of Numerical Control, Inc., which was acquired by Cleveland Pneumatic in 1979. His early career began with McDonnell Douglas Automation Co. in St. Louis where he served from 1962 through 1973 in various positions ranging from Marketing Director to Branch and Sales Manager. In addition to serving on the ESSI Board of Directors, Mr. Shanahan also serves on the boards of The Jones Co., St. Louis Major Case Squad, Hawthorn Foundation, The Falcon Companies, Saint Louis University and Old Warson Country Club.
