MICHAEL MARX FCA is Joint Managing Director of Development Securities
Plc, having joined the Board of the Company in September 1994. Under Mr
Marx, Development Securities has pursued a major, risk-averse real
estate development programme that has consistently added value for
shareholders. Recent Development Securities projects include the 200,000
square feet former MI5 headquarters building at One Curzon Street in the
heart of Mayfair in London, Cambourne Business Park in Cambridge and the
1.9 million square feet Paddington Goods Yard site in West London.
Before joining Development Securities, Mr Marx spent 13 years from 1981
as Commercial Director then Finance Director of Heron International Plc,
where he oversaw the complete restructuring of the Company's debt
finance and equity. Prior to that Mr Marx trained, qualified and
practised as a Chartered Accountant in public practice in London. He was
admitted as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1969. Profile
