MICHAEL L. FULBRIGHT is Chairman, President and CEO of JPS Industries
Inc., a diversified manufacturing and marketing company. He started his
career in 1972 as a trainee at West Point Pepperell in the Consumer
Products Division in Atlanta, GA where he served in various sales and
marketing positions and eventually was appointed Vice President of
Marketing in New York. In 1983, Mr. Fulbright joined M. Lowenstein
Corporation as Executive Vice President Wamsutta/Pacific-Home Furnishing
Division. M. Lowenstein was acquired by Springs Industries, Inc. in
1985 and he became President of Wamsutta Pacific in 1986 and President
of Greige Manufacturing Division in 1992. In 1994, he joined Cones
Mills Corporation as President of Cone Denim in Greenboro, NC where he
was responsible for the manufacturing and marketing of the $550,000,000
denim business. In 1996 , Mr. Fulbright became Chairman, President, and
CEO of The Bibb Company in Atlanta, GA, while the company was in
Chapter 11. Over the course of the next 18 months, the Company
successfully emerged and returned to a healthy status, recording the
first positive net income in four years. While at The Bibb Company, he
negotiated the company's merger with Dan River, Inc. in 1998. Profile
