Michael Flannery – Pope & Talbot Inc (pop)

MICHAEL FLANNERY has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Pope & Talbot since August 1999. His responsibilities include developing plans and strategies for the direction and administration of the corporation's daily and long-term objectives. Mr. Flannery was Vice President and General Manager, Wood Products Division from April 15, 1986 to present. From May 1985 to April 1986, he was Vice President Wood Products Manufacturing/ Champion International, Stamford, CT. From November 1979 to May 1985 he was Vice President & General Manager, St. Regis Paper Company, Tacoma, WA. Mr. Flannery has worked in the wood products industry since 1974, starting as a Management Trainee and moving up to his present position. Mr. Flannery was in the US Navy from 1966 to 1971, where he was a pilot, honorably discharged at the rank of LT. Mr. Flannery received his BE in Engineering from Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH.
