Michael Atkin – Aegera Therapeutics Inc

MICHAEL ATKIN, Chief Executive Officer of Aegera Therapeutics Inc., has experience as CEO of Exogen Neurosciences Inc., Director of New Products in the Bristol-Myers Squibb Neuroscience Global Marketing Group and as Vice President, Business Development of Lederle International Division. During the last 12 years Mr. Atkin has worked specifically in the pharmaceutical field. With 22 years' experience in management in the United States, he joined Exogen Neurosciences and forged a deal to form Aegera through a merger with an Ottawa-based firm, Apoptogen Inc., and has since negotiated a significant round of financing for the new company. He was previously Director of New Products in Bristol-Myers Squibbs Neuroscience Global Marketing Group in Princeton, New Jersey, where he was responsible for marketing strategy and pre-market development of drugs for treating stroke, Parkinson's disease, sleep disorders and migraine. He was also responsible for lifecycle planning for a marketed $100 million migraine drug, and for licensing in the area of pain and migraine. Before joining BMS, Mr. Atkin was Vice President, Business Development for Lederle International Division. Mr. Atkin has an MBA in Finance from Columbia University. Profile
