MICHAEL P. ALLEN is Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the
Board of Metrika, Inc. Mr. Allen has played a key role in the
operational management of state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies over
the past 16 years. He has led the strategic business direction and
fundraising at Metrika over the past five years. Prior to founding
Metrika, he held the positions of Vice President of Research and
Development and Vice President of Scientific Affairs at ChemTrak Inc.
Before that, he was employed for more than five years at the Syva
Company, where he developed rapid diagnostic technologies, including the
line of AccuLevel physicians' office products for therapeutic drug
monitoring. He is the author of numerous publications and more than 23
issued and pending patents in the area of medical devices. Mr. Allen
holds a BA in Biochemistry from the University of California at
