MARY J. MILLER, CFA is a Managing Director of T. Rowe Price Associates
and head of the firm's Municipal Department. She serves as President of
the following funds: the California Tax-Free Bond Fund, the T. Rowe
Price Tax-Free Short-Intermediate Fund, the Tax-Free Income Fund, the
State Tax-Free Income Trust and the Summit Municipal Funds. She is also
a Vice President of the remaining T. Rowe Price tax-free funds. Prior
to joining the firm in 1983, Mary was employed as a Research Associate
at the Urban Institute of Washington. She is a graduate of Cornell
University, earned a Master of City and Regional Planning from the
University of North Carolina and has also achieved the Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA) accreditation. Profile
DONALD J. PETERS is a Vice President for T. Rowe Price Associates, a
Portfolio Manager and a Quantitative Investment Analyst for the Equity
Research Division. He is Co-Chairperson of the T. Rowe Price Tax-
Efficient Balanced Fund. Prior to joining the firm in 1993, Don was a
Portfolio Manager for Geewax, Terker and Company. He is a former naval
officer and he worked on the staff of Admiral Hyman G. Rickover. Don
earned a B.A. (Economics) from Tulane University and an M.B.A. (Finance)
from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School. He is the author of
