MARTIN BABINEC – TRINET

MARTIN BABINEC is President & CEO of San Leandro-based TriNet, which was founded in 1988 to provide a single-vendor solution for outsourcing benefits, payroll, and HR support. Prior to founding TriNet, Mr. Babinec enjoyed a successful career in human resources management with Navy Exchanges, an international retailer. During that time he resided in Japan and Italy, where he managed all facets of human resources with an emphasis on international labor relations. He is a volunteer management consultant to non-profit organizations and speaks frequently at domestic and international conferences on topics involving entrepreneurism, high technology trends and human resources. Mr. Babinec received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University, Pennsylvania and has earned the accreditation of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) through the Human Resources Certification Institute. Mr. Babinec is a recipient of the Silicon Valley Entrepreneur of the Year award. He is a member of the international Young Entrepreneurs Organization and serves on the Board of Advisors to the Kauffman Foundation's Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. He also serves as a guest lecturer with the Stanford Graduate School of Business, which has profiled TriNet in a case study for academic research into high-growth, equity-financed companies. Profile
