Mark Tucker – Stowic Plc

MARK TUCKER is presently the (acting) Managing Director at Stowic Resources Limited. Mark Tucker graduated in geophysics in 1987. He has experience in establishing businesses when he launched his own company in the Arabian Gulf specialising in the location and identification of resources hidden underground. At the start of the Gulf War he returned to the UK as an industrial operations consultant and worked in a broad range of industries. Mark also co-founded Stowic Resources Limited in the early 1990's, a private transdermal pharmaceutical (TD) R&D company. He subsequently joined Penn Pharmaceuticals Limited in Wales in 1995 where he assisted the Managing Director in restructuring the company. He was responsible for and completed the installation of a GBP 2 million, dedicated pharmaceutical manufacturing unit, that gained approval from the FDA. He acts as the Secretary to the Welsh Medical Technology Forum, a collection of over 140 healthcare companies in Wales, UK. In 1996, he co-founded E-STER Limited, an Electron Beam contract processing company, which recently merged operations with Iotron Industries (Canada) Inc. to provide Ebeam services to the UK medical industry from 2001. Mark has led substantive international licensing negotiations with international pharmaceutical companies for Stowic's lead product and overseen the filing of their planned first Abbreviated New Drug Application in Q1 2000. Having re-structured the company to a 'Virtual' operation, he has initiated several TD development programmes with partner companies for New Chemical Entities.
