MARK P. GUTHRIE is President, Chief Executive Officer and a
member of the Board of InsWeb Corp. He has served as President
and Chief Executive Officer since July 2002. Prior to July 2002
Mr. Guthrie held the titles of President and Chief Operating
Officer, with responsibility for marketing, product and site
management, product and client implementation, technology and
agency operations. Mr. Guthrie joined InsWeb in September 1997 as
Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and was promoted
to Executive Vice President of Operations in July 1998. From July
1995 to August 1997, he held various positions with Industrial
Indemnity, a nationwide property and casualty insurance company,
most recently as Senior Operating Officer of National Programs.
Prior to that, Mr. Guthrie worked for Intel Corporation in the
International Accounting Division. Mr. Guthrie holds a master's
degree in International Management from the University of Boston
in Brussels, Belgium. He also earned a bachelor's degree in
business administration and finance from California State
