Mark Busgang – Warnex Inc (wnx:vse)

MARK J. BUSGANG is President and Chief Executive Officer of Warnex Inc. Mr. Busgang has been involved at the executive level as a manager and investor in the pharmaceutical industry since 1980. One of the many directorships and management positions he has held was as principal founder of Theratechnologies Inc., a highly successful publicly traded biotechnology company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Mr. Busgang received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University. He then went on to earn a Master's of Business Administration from the prestigious Graduate School of Business at Fordham University in New York. One of his many senior management positions was as President of Pharmetics Ltd. from 1993 until 1996. It was in this capacity that he was instrumental in establishing Theratechnologies, which subsequently purchased Pharmetics, a contract manufacturing facility serving the pharmaceutical industry. Upon leaving Theratechnologies in 1996 to pursue other business interests, Mr. Busgang created his own private venture capital investment company. That development led to his direct involvement in Warnex Inc. Mr. Busgang has played a leadership role within the Canadian pharmaceutical industry. He was Vice President of the National Health Products Association from 1990-1996; a Director of the Canadian Health Foods Association from 1989-1993; and a Director of the Provincial Association of Qubec-based pharmaceutical manufacturers from 1987-1990. In addition, he acted as Industry representative on the Task Force for Drug Product Licensing.
