Marc Shuman – Garagetek Inc

MARC SHUMAN is President and Founder of GarageTek, Inc. Mr. Shuman and GarageTek co-Founder Skip Barrett were on a business trip together for their former company, IVC, when the inspiration for a garage organization and storage system hit them. Both he and Mr. Barrett were brainstorming ideas for the next 'killer application' of TekPanel, a thermoplastic wall panel product they had developed and perfected for IVC's retail clients. As the President and majority shareholder of GarageTek, Mr. Shuman has taken GarageTek from incubation to installation in thousands of homes across the nation. He is now focused on setting the strategic direction for the continued growth and development of the GarageTek brand. He oversees the company's marketing, engineering, operational and franchise development functions. Mr. Shuman is the former President of International Visual Corporation (IVC), a prominent store fixture manufacturer serving department store clients such as JC Penney, Saks and Nordstrom. He is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, Long Island Builder's Institute, National Association of Home Builders and International Franchise Association. He has a BA in Finance from The George Washington University and an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University. Profile
