M. John Sterba Jr. – Investment Management Advisors Inc

M. JOHN STERBA, JR. is the Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Investment Management Advisors, Inc., an investment advisory firm headquartered in New York City. He has managed Investment Management Advisors, Inc. And its predecessor since the early 1980s. Before that Mr. Sterba was in the venture capital business, was a lawyer in the investment business with Sullivan & Cromwell and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, and was briefly a securities analyst with Kidder, Peabody & Co., Inc. He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, an MBA from Harvard University and a JD from Duke University. Mr. Sterba is a member of the board of directors of a publicly traded mutual fund, is the author of Fundamentals of Personal Investment published in 1997 by the American Bar Association, and is an officer of the Harvard Business School Club of Greater New York.
