LUKE R. SCHMIEDER attended Ohio State University and Ohio University,
taking courses in Engineering and Business Management. He was employed
by Western Electric Co. as a test equipment designer from 1963 to 1968.
From 1968 to 1970 he was employed by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in
various supervisory positions as part of a management training program.
Mr. Schmieder was employed by Cobe Laboratories Inc. from 1970 to 1977
as a Designer and Process Controller on various projects, including the
Centry II dialysis delivery system. From 1977 to 1982 Mr. Schmieder
served as President and Principal of a consulting company for product
and process development primarily in the medical field. In 1982, he was
a Founder of Mesa Laboratories, Inc., and has served as its President,
CEO and a Director since then. He is married with four children and four

describe what you see as your business and company today.
Mr. Schmieder: We went public in February of 1984 and at the
