Li-san Hwang – Tetra Tech Inc

LI-SAN HWANG was born in China. After receiving his B.S. in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University, he came to the United States and received his Masters degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University and his Doctorate degree in Civil Engineering from the California Institute of Technology. Hwang joined Tetra Tech in 1967 and became a Vice President in 1974. In 1982, Tetra Tech was acquired by Honeywell, Inc. In 1988, Hwang led the firm's leveraged buyout from Honeywell and was named President and Chief Executive Officer. Tetra Tech was named by Forbes as one of the '200 Best Small Companies' for five years in a row.
