Kenneth Abramowitz – The Carlyle Group

Kenneth S. Abramowitz, Managing Director of The Carlyle Group, joined the firm in March 2001 as a Managing Director in the Healthcare Group based in New York. Prior to joining Carlyle, he spent 23 years as an analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. where he covered the medical supply, hospital management and HMO industries, after which he was an EGS Securities healthcare fund manager for five months. He was voted top hospital supply and/or service analyst on the Institutional Investor All-America Research Team 14 out of 19 years since 1980 and made the team for both healthcare services and medical supplies for nine out of 12 years since 1987. Mr. Abramowitz earned a BA from Columbia University in 1972 and an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1976.
