KEITH CARBY is the Chairman and Chief Executive of Inter-Alliance PLC. After a spell as an academic and psychotherapist, Keith joined the Institute of Personnel (now CIPD) before moving to Ashridge College becoming Head of Applied Research (consultancy). He then joined Hambro Life (later Allied Dunbar) progressing to Managing Director. Keith left Allied Dunbar and became one of the three founders of J. Rothschild Assurance plc (now St. James's Place plc), which went on the market after less than seven years in a deal worth over a billion pounds. Profile
At Ashridge, Keith undertook consultancy assignments with many large companies (including Shell, Sainsbury's and JCB) and both the British Government and the European Commission. Since leaving JRA, he has consulted with a number of major British Financial Institutions and has worked with investment banks on Financial Services transactions. He is a director of eight companies including Inter-Alliance p.l.c.
