JULIA K. WEBB has been Vice President, Global Marketing and
Business Development, of Bioscrypt Inc., since January 1999. She
is responsible for leading the company's marketing initiatives as
well as all licensing of Bioscrypt's Core technology. Ms. Webb
also represents Bioscrypt on the Biometrics Industry Group for
the Security Industry Association (SIA) and as part of panels and
lectures at trade conferences. Prior to joining Bioscrypt, she
held the position of Director of Marketing at Visionics
Corporation, a biometric organization that develops and markets
leading facial recognition technology. While at Visionics, Ms.
Webb was instrumental in successfully developing international
markets by working with major VARs and OEMs throughout Europe.
She additionally managed Visionics' Government contracts and
technical proposals, including the facial recognition
installations now in place at the Immigration and Naturalization
Service and the National Security Agency. Ms. Webb started her
career within the high-technology arena in 1994. Soon after, she
was recruited to the biometric industry by Keyware Technologies,
a Belgium-based firm that markets voice verification technology
developed by Lernout & Hauspie. Ms. Webb held increasingly
responsible positions for the organization and was promoted to
the position of marketing manager in 1996. Ms. Webb is recognized
as a key spokesperson in the biometrics industry by leading
journalists and has recently published a number of articles on
the implementation and use of biometric technology. She holds a
Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University where she studied
