JOSEPH F. LONGO is Chairman, President, Treasurer & Director of Startech
Environmental Corp. A co-founder of Startech, Mr. Longo has been
President, Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of Startech
Environmental Corp. since November 17, 1995. He has been President of
Startech Corp. since September 1994. Between August 1991 and August
1994, he was President of Consolidated Defense Corp. of Wilton,
Connecticut, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of waste processing
equipment for stationary and shipboard waste applications. Between
October 1987 and August 1991, he was Executive Vice President of
Toronita Company in York, Pennsylvania, a developer of waste processing
equipment for hazardous and non-hazardous waste. From 1969 to 1990, he
was Founder and Chief Operating Officer for the International Dynetics
Corp., a manufacturer of waste industry capital equipment with a
multinational customer base. From 1959 to 1969, he was Manager of New
Product and Business Development for AMF. Mr. Longo is a Mechanical
Engineer with more than 25 years hands-on business operating experience.
