Joseph Jasinski – Ibm Life Sciences

JOSEPH JASINSKI is Worldwide Operations Manager of IBM Life Sciences. Prior to his current position, he was the Senior Manager of the Computational Biology Center at IBM Research. In that role he oversaw IBM's basic research efforts at the interface between information technology and biology. He has also managed and carried out research in nanotechnology, materials chemistry and chemical kinetics in his 20 year career with IBM. Dr. Jasinski graduated from Dartmouth College in 1976 with an AB in Mathematics and Chemistry. He received a PhD in Chemistry from Stanford University in 1980. Following post-doctoral work at the University of California, Berkeley, he joined the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center as a Research Staff Member in 1982. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He has authored or co-authored over 50 scientific papers and holds two patents. Profile
