Jonathan Reeves – Mangrove Systems Inc

JONATHAN REEVES is President and Chief Executive Officer of Mangrove Systems, Inc. Mangrove Systems represents the third company launched by Mr. Reeves. He is a recognized leader in the development of forward looking technologies whose background spans successful startup initiatives to high profile public firms. Prior to starting Mangrove, he founded Sirocco Systems, delivering the first intelligent optical edge switch. After only 18 months, Sirocco was acquired by Sycamore Networks. Previously, as Founder and CEO of Sahara Networks, he led the successful development and deployment of advanced ATM access products. In 1997, Sahara was acquired by Cascade Communications. Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Mr. Reeves had a lengthy tenure with General DataComm where he held a number of senior engineering and management roles. In 1993 Mr. Reeves was named AVP of the ATM Business Unit, and spearheaded the company's ATM activity, establishing GDC as an early leader in the ATM switching market. Mr. Reeves entered the industry as a hardware and software development engineer in Poole, England. He served as an Operating Partner with Bessemer Venture Partners, is on the Board of Trustees at Quinnipiac University and is a frequent speaker at leading industry conferences. Profile
