JONATHAN D. KLEIN is co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Getty Images, Inc. In 1993, Mr. Klein, together with Executive Chairman Mark H. Getty, co-founded Getty Investments LLC, which today is the principal shareholder of Getty Images. Since that time, Mr. Klein has been instrumental in formulating and implementing a strategy that has resulted in Getty Images becoming the global leader in the e-commerce delivery of high-quality visual content. Specifically, Mr. Klein helped orchestrate the acquisition of Kodak's Image Bank collection, Tony Stone Images, PhotoDisc and Visual Communications Group, as well as recent image-sharing partnerships with Adobe Software and Alta Vista. Mr. Klein is responsible, with the Executive Chairman and fellow Co-Founder Mark Getty, for all aspects of strategy, growth and development of Getty Images. Mr. Klein has led the company's migration of its business to the Web and its consolidation of the highly fragmented visual content industry. Getty Images holds the leading brands in the industry and is using e-commerce to make the collections more accessible to customers worldwide. From 1983 to 1993, Mr. Klein was with Hambros Bank Limited, where he held various positions. He was named a Director and head of Hambros' media sector in 1989.
