JOHN V. HARKER has been President and Chief Executive Officer of
InFocus Systems, Inc. since April 1992 and was appointed Chairman of the
Board in 1994. From 1984 to 1992 he was Executive Vice President and a
member of the Board of Directors of Genicom Corporation, a manufacturer
of computer printers. Before that, Mr. Harker served as Senior Vice
President for Marketing and Corporate Development of Data Products, Inc.
(1982-84), and as Vice President and partner of BoozAllen & Hamilton
(1979-82). Still earlier (1963-79), he worked at IBM Corporation in
various managerial and executive capacities. He holds a Bachelor of
Science degree in marketing from the University of Colorado. Mr. Harker
was born in Denison, Iowa, and is married to the former Judith Skelley.
They have three children: Julie; John, Jr.; and James. In his spare
time, Mr. Harker enjoys golfing, skiing and mountain climbing and is an
active member of his church. He is a member of the Business Advisory
Council for both the College of Business and Administration at the
University of Colorado and the School of Business Administration at
Portland State University. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the
Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) and the Executive Committee
of the Oregon Council of the American Electronics Association. The
