JOHN TREHARNE launched Dragons Health Clubs in 1988 with the buy-out of
the Hove Club, part of Miss World Clubs Plc. He started his career in
the leisure sector working for the Coral Leisure Group Plc, and was
responsible for a wide range of activities from greyhound racing to
squash. He has also worked in leisure consultancy, and was involved in
the design, construction, marketing and management of quality health and
leisure clubs for leading companies. He is an avid squash player, and
was the UK national racquetball champion from 1981 to 1984. He is
currently Chairman of the Squash Rackets Association. Profile
TWST: Can you give us a brief overview and a little bit of the historyof the company just to set the stage for the readers?
Mr. Treharne: Dragons was set up in 1990. We're venture capital
