JOHN O'CONNELL, the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Staffware
Plc, was recently appointed Chairman of the Staffware group of
companies. Mr O'Connell is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered and
Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Master of Information Technology
(MITA). He was also recently elected into the Company of Fellows of The
Association of Information and Image Management ' AIIM ' International,
which he was the first non-American to chair. He has been a key player
in the workflow market since the 1980s, after having founded a company
called FCMC, specialising in Financial Software in 1980. FCMC was
renamed Staffware after it developed software it called 'Procedure
Processing' ' the forerunner of Workflow Automation ' in the mid-
eighties. Since those early days, he has directed the worldwide
development of Staffware's software business, which now has over one
million users in more than 50 countries. Staffware is now the
acknowledged market leader in Workflow software and it is has grown
sixfold in the last five years. More recently, Mr O'Connell spearheaded
the global launch of Staffware eProcess, which is focused on making
Staffware workflow a core component of e-business applications. Profile
