John H. Goldsmith – Freedom Securities Corporation (fsi)

JOHN H. GOLDSMITH has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Securities Corporation since its creation in late 1996 when he led the purchase of the firm from the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Corporation. He also serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Securities' subsidiary Tucker Anthony Incorporated and as a director of Tucker Anthony Cleary Gull Capital Markets. Prior to his appointment as head of John Hancock's Tucker Anthony stock brokerage and investment banking unit in late 1988, Mr. Goldsmith was associated with Prescott, Ball and Turben from 1971 through 1988. At that firm he rose through successively senior management positions from president and managing partner to chairman and chief executive officer. Following his graduation from the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Goldsmith began his securities industry career with the firm of L.F. Rothschild. Profile
