JOHN D. CORRENTI is Chairman and CEO of Birmingham Steel Corporation,
one of the largest mini-steel operators in the United States. Mr.
Correnti joined Birmingham Steel in December 1999. Birmingham Steel is a
$700 million New York Stock Exchange-listed company. From 1980 to 1999,
Mr. Correnti was affiliated with Nucor Corporation in various management
positions, and from 1991 to 1999 served as Vice Chairman, President and
CEO. Prior to that he was associated with U.S. Steel in various
capacities in construction management from 1969 to 1980. Mr. Correnti
serves as a Director of Birmingham Steel Corporation, Harnischfeger
Industries, Navistar International Corporation, and the Steel
Manufacturers Association and The Steel Alliance. Mr. Correnti is a
graduate of Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY, and holds a BS degree in
Civil Engineering. He is married with one son.
