John A. Bermingham – Smith Corona Corporation (scco)

JOHN A. BERMINGHAM is presently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Smith Corona Corporation. Prior to Smith Corona he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Rolodex Corporation where he led the turn around of the company before selling it to Newell. Before coming to Rolodex he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the AT&T Smart Card Systems and Solutions business while holding the concurrent position of Group Vice President-New Business Ventures heading the start-up or turn around of 12 high tech businesses for AT&T Consumer Products. Prior to AT&T, he was the President of Sony Magnetic Products Group where he directed the turnaround of that business group driving it profitably to the number one market share position in the United States. He is a director of X-ceed, Inc. and Smith Corona Corporation. Past Board affiliations have been with 3DO, PF Magic, Syquest Technology, and The International Tape Association. He has served as a Lotus Development Corporation Marketing Fellow and on the University of Texas Business School Advisory Board where he has also lectured extensively.
