JO MARK ZUREL is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer of CHC Helicopter Corporation. He joined CHC in 1994 as
Corporate Controller before moving to his current position, where
he oversees group financial management; mergers, acquisitions and
divestitures; communications; human resources; and management
information systems. Mr. Zurel has earned a Bachelor of Commerce
degree from the University of Dalhousie in Halifax, NS and
Chartered Accountant Designation from the Institute of Chartered
Accountants. Prior to joining CHC, he served as Senior Manager
for the chartered accounting firm Doane Raymond/Grant Thorton in
Halifax. Mr. Zurel is heavily involved in community and
fundraising activities. He serves as Board Member and Fundraising
Committee member for the Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation
in St. John's, and Treasurer and Fundraising Committee member
with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra. He has served as
Advisor and Awards Committee member for Junior Achievement in
Nova Scotia, and Allocations Committee member for the United Way
in Halifax. He also serves on various committees with the
Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and is a member of
the Treasury Management Association of Canada and the Canadian
