Jim Kelly Jr. – Spotlight Solutions Inc

JIM KELLY, JR., President and CEO of Spotlight Solutions, Inc., has extensive experience in launching successful software companies. He co- Founded Kelly Information Systems (KIS), a retail decision support software company in December 1992. In three short years under his direction as CEO, the privately held and self-funded KIS grew to 25 employees with 10 large US retail customers (including Federated Department Stores and Wal-Mart). In April 1996, KIS merged with Intrepid Systems of Alameda CA, a provider of retail merchandise management software. After the merger, Mr. Kelly served on Intrepid's Board of Directors and acted as Vice President of Decision Support Sales. He co- Founded Spotlight Solutions in March of 1999. Through Mr. Kelly's leadership as President and CEO, Spotlight has achieved three capital raises totaling over $22 million while becoming the market leader in Markdown Optimization and a leader in Pricing and Revenue Optimization. He began his career with Teradata Corporation, a pioneer in decision support and data warehousing. Over his 10 years with Teradata, Mr. Kelly held several positions in systems engineering, marketing and sales. He was a member of Teradata's retail solutions group and spent over two years dedicated to the Kmart account. Mr. Kelly was the leading sales rep at Teradata the year prior to Teradata being acquired by NCR, generating over $12 million in sales revenue. He holds a BS in Systems Analysis (Computer Science) with a sub-major in Marketing from Miami University in Ohio. Profile
