JIM GIANCOLA is President and Chief Executive Officer of CNB Bancshares,
Inc. He joined CNB in 1992 and was promoted to CEO in 1996. Prior to
joining CNB, he was president of a $1,5 billion bank in Northern
Indiana, and prior to that was a founding partner in a well-respected
bank-consulting firm based in Atlanta. Mr. Giancola is active with the
United Way, Right to Life, the University of Southern Indiana Foundation
Board, University of Evansville Trustees Board, Vision 2000 Board, St.
Mary's Hospital Foundation Board, Indiana Chamber of Commerce Board, and
is a director of the Bankers Roundtable. He recently chaired USI's first
capital campaign that raised $20 million for the university. Mr.
Giancola is originally from New York City. He is a graduate of Harvard
University and has done graduate and professional studies at Suffolk
University and the University of Colorado. He and his wife reside in
Evansville. They have two sons and two grandchildren. Profile
