JEFFREY P. PARKER is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CCBN.com. In 1980, Mr. Parker founded Technical Data Corporation, which he subsequently sold in 1986 to Canadian publishing giant Thomson Corporation. In 1982, he became Chairman and CEO of Business Research Corporation and in 1983 founded First Call Corporation. Under his leadership, Thomson Financial Services (TFS), as the group is now known, became a major provider of proprietary financial information to the investment and corporate communities. TFS currently serves over 75,000 institutional clients worldwide, and has annual revenues in excess of $750 million. His first company, Technical Data, has been the subject of several Harvard case studies and is used as key part of Harvard's Entrepreneurial Finance course. Prior to his association with TFS, he served as Vice President and Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Fidelity Investments in Boston. He has also held management positions at Smith Barney, Loeb Rhoads, and A.G. Becker. Mr. Parker's current directorships include MicroFinancial, Inc. (Waltham, MA); CCBN.com, Inc. (Boston, MA); FaxNet Corporation (Boston, MA); Pacific Sun Industries (Hayward, CA); Vintage Partners (Waltham, MA); and WorldStreet Corporation (Cambridge, MA). Mr. Parker is a graduate of Cornell University, from which he received a Bachelor's of Engineering in 1965, a Master's of Engineering in 1966 and a Master's of Business in 1970. In 1995, he was appointed to the University's Board of Trustees. He has recently been recognized as a foremost benefactor of the University, founded the Parker Center for Investment Research at the Johnson School, and is currently the co-Chair of the University's Committee on Alumni Affairs and Development.
