James T. Anderson – Zomax Optical Media Inc (zomx)

JAMES T. ANDERSON, 40, has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Zomax Optical Media, Inc. since he co-founded in 1993. Mr. Anderson previously served in various positions with Metacom, Inc. from May 1982 to June 1993, including five years as Vice President of Manufacturing where he was responsible for all manufacturing activities, including purchasing, inventory control, production, warehousing and distribution. Mr. Anderson's strong commitment to quality and service has been instrumental in growing Zomax's reputation as an industry supplier. Zomax has recently been named Gateway 2000's "1997 North American Supplier of the Year'' and participates in the Microsoft Authorized Replicator Program. Mr. Anderson was born and raised in Riverton, New Jersey, a small town across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. As a teenager he moved with his family to Hudson, Wisconsin when his father, a senior executive with 3M, was transferred to its corporate offices in St. Paul, Minnesota. Mr. Anderson graduated in 1980 Magna Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin -- River Falls, with a double major in Business and Economics and began his business career in the Twin Cities. Mr. Anderson is married and lives in Plymouth, Minnesota with his wife. He enjoys collecting cars and boating.
