James C. Musselman, 52, joined the Triton Energy Board of Directors in
May 1998 and was elected President and Chief Executive Officer in
October 1998. Previously, Mr. Musselman formed and operated JM Petroleum
Corporation, a $1 billion-sales crude oil transportation company sold to
Wesray Capital Group. A Licensed Attorney, he practiced law with
Strother, Davis, Musselman & Hill, where he focused on oil-and-gas
financing. Mr. Musselman also founded Lone Star Jockey Club Ltd., which
obtained the racing license for the development of Lone Star Park in
Grand Prairie, Texas. He earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the
University of Texas School of Law in 1973 and a Bachelor of Business
Administration from Duke University in 1970. He serves on the Board of
Advisors for the Maguire Energy Institute. Profile
