James Murren – Mgm Mirage (mgg)

JAMES MURREN joined MGM Mirage as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 1998. On December 30, 1999, Mr. Murren was named President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Murren is a member of the Board of Directors and its Executive Committee. Prior to joining MGM Mirage, Mr. Murren spent 14 years on Wall Street as a top-ranked equity analyst, joining C.J. Lawrence, Inc. (later merged into Deutsche Morgan Grenfell) in 1984 as a securities analyst. In 1992, he was appointed Managing Director and elected to the Board of Directors of C.J. Lawrence in 1992. In 1994, he was appointed Director of Research and Managing Director of Deutsche Bank. Mr. Murren is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is responsible for all finance functions including capital markets, treasury and internal audit as well as corporate aviation, purchasing, human resources and shared services. TWST: What has gone on in the past year at the company?

Mr. Murren: We've had a very busy year over the past 12 months.

Primarily it has been good news. The economy, of course, has
