James Mclane – Healthaxis Inc (haxs)

JAMES W. MCLANE is Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Healthaxis Inc. He became CEO in February 2001, having been on the Board since August 2000. Prior to joining Healthaxis, Mr. McLane was President and COO of NovaCare, Inc., from 1997'2000). From 1992-1996 he was Executive Vice President of Aetna, Inc., for group health and life businesses and CEO of Aetna HealthPlans. From 1974-1991 Mr. McLane was Senior Vice President/Division Executive for Citibank/Citicorp. From 1969-1974 he was a senior U.S. Government official in the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, the White House and the Cost of Living Council. Mr. McLane is a member of the Board of Directors of Healthaxis and Beverly Enterprises. He served on the Boards of Novacare and several other healthcare-oriented venture-backed companies, as well as the Hartford Healthcare Corp. Mr. McLane is a former visiting lecturer at the Yale School of Organization and Management. He served as Chairman of Outward Bound USA from 1992'1996, as a principal member of the Jackson Hole Group, and on the Executive Committee of the Healthcare Leadership Council.
