JAMES MCCLUNEY joined Vixel Corporation as Chairman, President and Chief
Executive Officer in April 1999 and led the company through a highly
successful initial public offering in October 1999. Before joining
Vixel, Mr. McCluney was President of Crag Technologies, a storage
subsystem and management software company, which he co-founded in 1997.
Prior to that, Mr. McCluney served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide
Operations at Apple Computer. Earlier in his career, he held several
senior management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation. McCluney
earned his degree in business from Strathclyde University in Scotland. Profile
