J.DON BROCK – ASTEC INDUSTRIES INC (ASTE)

J. DON BROCK is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Astec Industries, Inc., and subsidiaries. Astec is the largest manufacturer of asphalt plants in America. Dr. Brock presently holds approximately 90 US and foreign patents on construction machinery and drying equipment. Prior to joining Astec Dr. Brock was Corporate Vice President, CMI Corporation and President-Textile Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of CMI Corporation, President-CMI Systems Division of CMI Corporation from 1970 to 1972; Vice President-CMI Systems from 1969 to 1970 and Vice President-Chattanooga Systems, Inc., from 1965 to 1969. He was educated in the Chattanooga public school system, graduating from Central High School in 1957. Dr. Brock attended the University of Tennessee and earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1961. He then attended the Georgia Institute of Technology and obtained an MS in Mechanical Engineering in 1963 and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering during 1965.
