GLORIA L. VOGEL is a Senior Vice President and Senior Insurance Analyst
at Advest, Inc. Previously, she was a Managing Director at Ladenburg,
Thalmann & Co. Inc., and also a First Vice President at Lehman Brothers,
where she was a securities analyst following the insurance industry.
Gloria has also served as a research analyst at Bear, Stearns & Co.
Inc., and at Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. She has prior experience as an
industry consultant at Kramer Capital Consultant, Inc. She began her
career as an analyst at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. Gloria is a Chartered
Financial Analyst and a member of the Association of Professional
Insurance Women, the Financial Women's Association of New York, and the
Association for Investment Management and Research. She is also an
active board member of the Association of Insurance and Financial
Analysts. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from
City College of New York, and a Master's degree in Economics from New
York University. She has written extensively on the industry, has often
been used by the media as a source of information, and has given
