HOWARD M. SIEGEL, Chairman, President and CEO of American Medical Alert
Corporation (AMAC) has more than 30 years of experience in the Home
Security and Personal Emergency Response industries. Prior to founding
AMAC in 1981, Mr. Siegel founded and served as President of Technical
Liaison Corporation, a company engaged in leasing security systems,
including residential, commercial and industrial burglar alarms. In his
17 years with the company, he gained extensive expertise in automating
emergency response procedures, advocating the use of advanced electronic
technologies to defense against intruders and developing fail safe
installation procedures. In 1981, he transferred his knowledge to the
Home Healthcare Industry where he collaborated with other pioneers to
create today's benchmarks for functional and cost-effective personal
emergency response systems. Mr. Siegel founded AMAC and pioneered the
two-way hands free personal emergency response system. AMAC's Voice Care
System is currently the most comprehensive personal emergency response
system available. Mr. Siegel earned his Bachelor of Science degree from
New York University School of Commerce in 1955. He was honored in 1987
as one of Cancer Care's Men of the Year and pursues an active athletic
