H. STEWART PARKER, President and Chief Executive Officer, has been with
Targeted Genetics Corporation since its inception. Prior to forming
Targeted Genetics, she completed 10 years at Immunex Corporation, most
recently as Vice President, Corporate Development and President, CEO and
Director of Receptech Corporation. She received her MBA in Finance and
International Business from the University of Washington. Ms. Parker has
received several awards for her achievements, including the 2001 Small
Business Person of the Year for Western Washington from the Small
Business Administration and Entrepreneur of the Year from the Forum for
Women Entrepreneurs. Ms. Parker also was a finalist in the Ernst & Young
Entrepreneur of the Year competition in 2001. In 2000, Ms. Parker was a
finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition, and
Targeted Genetics was ranked number five in the Deloitte & Touche
Washington State Technology Fast 50 List. Ms. Parker currently serves on
the Boards of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), the
Emerging Companies Section of BIO (currently Board Chairman), WRQ, Inc.,
Regence Washington Health, The Technology Alliance, the University of
North Carolina Board of Visitors, the University of Washington Arts &
Sciences Advisory Council, and the Pilchuck Glass School. She also is
Chairman of the Board of CellExSys, Inc., a majority-owned subsidiary of
Targeted Genetics established in November 2000 to commercialize the
company's impressive portfolio of cell therapy technology. Profile
