GUENTHER BAIERL Chairman of varetis AG Board of Management, heads up the
Sales, Marketing and Services Divisions AG, and holds a Degree in
Computer Science. After completing his Degree in Computer Science,
Baierl started his career as a Software Developer for SAP products with
Linde AG, where he went on to join Dr Henk at DV GmbH as Project Manager
for database applications. In 1983, in cooperation with partners,
Baierl founded PC-plus GmbH, the predecessor of Varetis AG. Ever since,
he has headed the company as Managing Partner. Under his management,
the company has focussed on the telecommunications market and has become
a global player in the professional directory systems sector. When
Varetis AG was established in August 1998, Mr Baierl was appointed to
the Board of Management as Chairman on January 1, 1999. Profile
