Gregory Reece-smith – Advanced Technology (uk) Plc (avt.l)

GREGORY REECE-SMITH is the Deputy Chairman of Advanced Technology (UK) Plc. On graduating from University, he joined KPMG, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1973 and remained in public practice with KPMG where he managed various merger and acquisition and insolvency assignments. In 1983, he was headhunted to become Chief Financial Officer for the North American operations of Dubilier Plc. In 1985 he returned to the UK to establish his own consultancy practice specialising in hands on advice to owner managed businesses, including management buyouts and corporate restructuring, primarily in the electronics and software sectors. He gained his MBA in 1991 and since 1994 has been a part-time tutor on strategy for the Open University on their MBA programme. He joined the board in 1996, initially as Finance Director, and became Group Managing Director in April 1997. On 14th August 2000 he became Deputy Chairman of the Group. Profile
