Gregory Leon Nesbitt – Cleco Corporation (cnl)

GREGORY LEON NESBITT is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cleco Corporation. Mr. Nesbitt received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University in 1958. He was in the United States Navy, 1958-1961. Prior to joining Cleco, Mr. Nesbitt was employed as Manager, Fuel Resources, and other engineering and management positions at San Diego Gas & Electric Company from 1961-1980. Mr. Nesbitt experience with Cleco includes: Senior Vice President (Bulk Power System Operations), January, 1980; Executive Vice President, January, 1988; Director, April, 1988; Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Director, July, 1991; President and Chief Operating Officer and Director, April, 1992; President and Chief Executive Officer and Director, January, 1999. His organizational memberships include: Edision Electric Institute, Board of Directors; Southeastern Electric Exchange, President; Southwest Power Pool, past Chairman of the Board; North American Electric Reliability Council, past Executive Committee member; American Society of Mechanical Engineers; Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce, past President; United Way of Central Louisiana, Inc., past President; Rapides Bank & Trust Company, Board of Directors & Chairman Executive Committee; Rapides Foundation, Board Member; Council For A Better Louisiana (CABL), Board of Directors; Committee of 100, Executive Committee; Public Affairs Research Council, Board of Directors; LA LEARN Commission, past Chairman and CAMD Foundation, Board of Directors.
